To: Jem Fashion Directors From: Larry May, Supply and Control Manager Date: October 2 Re: Operational updates As you know, it has been a busy year for us in the Jem Fashion operations department. We have overseen the opening of five new manufacturing hubs, and I am pleased to announce that all five are now fully operational. Goods are being produced at a rapid rate in line with the targets we set last year. However, I have concerns about one particular area of our business. After liaising with the customer services team, it became clear to me that our goods are not being delivered within the timeframe promised to our customers. I personally conducted investigations into this and discovered the delivery company we currently use has an insufficient number of vehicles to meet our demands. This has led to a backlog of orders and many customer complaints. Therefore, I propose meeting with the head of the delivery firm to discuss the terms of our contract with them. We need to hold them accountable for this problem and demand changes to the document as necessary.
