To: All employees From: Betty Simmons ([email protected]) Date: November 21 Subject: Annual Year End Party As another year comes to a close, we’re pleased to announce the date of this year’s Year End party. We’re very lucky to have such a special group of employees who are always eager to participate in our company’s social engagements. This year’s party will be held on Saturday, December 18 from 5 P.M. to 10 P.M. at the Majestic Suites Hotel, the exact venue as last year. The company will be supplying food, beverages, and musical entertainment. Sign-up sheets will be posted in the employee break room from now until December 8. In order to receive a ticket, you must sign up if you plan to attend. Our administrative staff have been working hard to plan this special day so please sign-up as soon as possible. We look forward to another memorable event. Regards, Betty |
To: Betty Simmons ([email protected]) From: Andrew Fitzpatrick ([email protected]) Date: November 22 Subject: Year End Party As you may already know, we have recently formed a company basketball team. About ten people have joined so far, and we have been playing every Saturday at the Swift Creek High School Gym for the last few months. After receiving your e-mail about the company’s Year End Party, I immediately realized that we have a game scheduled for the same date at 6 P.M. I know everyone involved will want to attend both events but I don’t think we’ll be able to reschedule the game. Would it be possible to change the date of the Year End Party instead? If you are willing to consider it, I would be happy to help make the arrangements and check the availability of the hotel banquet halls. Sorry for the inconvenience. |
