Here, visitors can view these magnificent creatures from the safety of underground viewing windows. According to one tourist’s account, “The Sea Lion Caves provide an opportunity to truly see how these animals act in their natural habitat. I found it mesmerizing.” The caves, which have been receiving visitors for more than five decades, are entered via use of an elevator underground.
-[1]- Located near the coastal town of Florence, the caves are easily accessible from the main highway and feature many signs offering wildlife information, making this an ideal destination for the whole family during the school holidays. -[2]- Visitors should book tickets in advance to avoid disappointment, as the caves can become quite crowded during peak tourist seasons.
