Feedback It is possible to use two prepositions after the noun ‘interest’: ‘IN’ and ‘TO’. In the following collocations with the noun ‘interest’ we use the preposition ‘in’: have an interest in sth: Steve has a keen interest in bird-watching. Show interest in sth: He had shown great interest in her work. Express an interest in sth - say that you are interested in something: A number of well-known film directors have expressed interest in the script. Take an interest in sth - be interested in something: Jacky first took an interest in golf when he was about six years old. In the collocation ‘be of (no) interest to somebody’ we use the preposition ‘to’: It is a book that will be of interest to a wide range of readers.
