  • Find the altitude of a rhombus whose area is 45 cm2 and perimeter 150 cm.
Question 1:
Find the altitude of a rhombus whose area is 45 cm2 and perimeter 150 cm.
A. 1.2 cm
Feedback Perimeter of rhombus = 4 × side
Given,
Perimeter of a rhombus = 150 cm
∴ Side = 150/4 = 37.5 cm
∵ Area of rhombus = Base × Height
Given, Area = 45 cm Square
∴ 45 = Base × Height
⇒ 45 = Side × Altitude [Base of rhombus is a side of that rhombus]
⇒ 45 = 37.5 × Altitude
⇒ Altitude = 45/37.5 = 1.2 cm
B. 1.4 cm
C. 1.0 cm
D. 0.8 cm
