Expanding Company Wins Prestigious Design Award
Dare to Design of Toronto, Canada, was awarded the prestigious Boden Logo Design Award on Thursday for the logo it created for Norman-Brock Regional Hospital (NBRH). The panel of judges agreed that the logo was innovative in its use of color and was likely to be indispensable to creating a recognizable brand for NBRH.
In his acceptance speech, Dare to Design President Marcus Elmore said, “We are honored to receive this award. It is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of each one of our employees." Elmore, a former magazine designer, has headed the company for ten years. He has also supervised the design of over 135 logos. — [1] —. These include logos for companies such as car manufacturer Glenna Motors, kitchen appliance manufacturer Kitchenhelper, and investment bank S. T. Madison.
— [2] —. Dare to Design had announced earlier in the week that it plans to open a second office in Vancouver next year. It has been obtaining more and more contracts from the country's West Coast. — [3] —. "We are growing dramatically, and we hope to serve even more customers next year," Elmore said. "The Boden Logo Design Award only confirms what we already knew. The Dare to Design is able to respond to client needs with originality and professionalism." — [4] —.

I created this group for Lakewood Apartment residents. I’m upset by the balcony repairs happening to the building. But, before I raise concerns with the building management, I wanted to make sure I’m not the only one that is bothered by the process.

You are not the only one. I’m very unhappy that I wasn’t told which days workers would be going inside my unit in order to access my balcony.

Yes! I absolutely agree with you! I don’t like the fact that strangers were in my home without my knowing.

That part actually didn’t bother me. However, I do have an issue with the sound of the construction. I understand that this kind of work can’t be quiet, but I don’t think it’s reasonable for any construction to begin at 6 A.M. every day. Many of us are still sleeping!

I’ve noticed that too. It starts that early even on weekends!

My roommates are dissatisfied with the noise as well.

I talk about it with people in the elevator all the time. I think most residents are upset.

I’ve considered filing a complaint with the building office.

Okay, I’m grateful that I’m not alone. I’m going to speak with the building manager today. I’ll bring this up.
