The Chicago Star - April 4
Parker Airlines spokesperson, Emily Green told reporters yesterday that as of May 28 the company intends to discontinue free meals for passengers flying by economy class. — [1] —. The company, named the Best Domestic Airline for the past 3 years by air travelers, expects this will save them $10 million a year. — [2] —. While the airline will continue to offer water, coffee, juice and tea for free, it will give passengers the option of buying snack boxes for $7. For breakfast, French toast and cereal will be provided; for lunch, passengers can choose either a hamburger or beef sandwich, with some fruit. For dinner, passengers will have the choice of turkey or pork with rice and salad, with ice cream for dessert.
— [3] —. Dellavue Air, based in New York was the first to implement this type of policy. Brighton International and Northern Air adopted it as well. SkyBus announced that it will test the concept to see whether or not it would be beneficial for them. — [4] —. A spokesman for Parker Airlines said that meals would still be provided free of charge to First Class passengers.
February 15 — Larocco Construction Firm has won approval from the city planning committee to build a retirement community called Withering Heights in Walkerton. The residential area is to be built on the former site of the St. Catharines Motel on Highway 55, within walking distance of the city shopping mall.
This is great news for Larocco Construction; however, before the company can officially begin to build, the project designs must be approved by the State Safety Council (SSC). The retirement village’s design includes 39 town house units divided equally into 3-building blocks. Each townhouse unit will have three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a private garage. Additional features include a group banquet facility and fitness center. Pricing will not be finalized until final SSC approval has been granted.
Walkerton resident, Steven Patterson started Larocco Construction Firm more than 15 years ago and now runs it with his brother James. City mayor, Julia Flatt, said that city administration is thrilled with how the Patterson brothers have dealt with the project so far.

Have you contacted the technical department yet? These documents have to be sent to the downtown office by fax. It is still down.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Amy Timber [2:16 P.M.]
Yes, I called them this morning, but they said they wouldn’t be able to send the technician until next week.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Susie Miller [2:17 P.M.]
Oh, my goodness! The deadline for these documents is this afternoon. I guess I’ll have to deliver them myself.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Amy Timber [2:17 P.M.]
But.... in 30 minutes, you have a meeting with clients, don’t you?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Susie Miller [2:18 P.M.]
Right! It’s an important meeting. To make matters worse, I have another appointment with a vice president after the meeting.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ted Horn [2:19 P.M.]
Why don’t you send the documents by e-mail?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Susie Miller [2:20 P.M.]
Thanks, but they are handwritten papers.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ted Horn [2:22 P.M.]
I can type all of the documents within an hour. It’s the fastest way, isn’t it?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Susie Miller [2:23 P.M.]
Yes, it is. I really appreciate it, Ted. Without your help, I would get into trouble now.

Dear Ms. Jones,
I would like to volunteer to represent the Front Desk Staff at the October 15 and November 3 job fairs. I will be on holiday when the second job fair is scheduled, and therefore, will be unable to attend that one.
I feel that I will be able to answer questions asked by potential applicants, because I was hired as a result of attending the Sheraton Job Fair two years ago.
I have always wanted to dine at the hotel restaurant; therefore, I would like to receive the voucher as my benefit.
Regards,
Vicky Wheeler
